#ANOTHERLIGHTUP

The #ANOTHERLIGHTUP campaign is a fundraising initiative in conjunction with the Design Indaba Trust, creative consultancy Thingking and street artist Faith47.

The funds raised will go towards installing street lights in poorer parts of Cape Town where, for example, it is unsafe to collect water at night from communal taps.

The project was launched at the Design Indaba Conference 2014, with the unveling of the new mural by Faith47 along De Waal Drive, which has a light installation designed by Thingking to catch people's attention. Donating money or tweeting about the campaign can turn the lights on at night.
